“I’ve lived in and around Maidstone for 46 years, so I know the villages and the groups that make such a difference to people’s days, from memory cafés to village lunches. If you’re thinking about care for someone you love, I’d be glad to talk it through and help you find what will suit them.”
Fiona Rayner is our Field Care Supervisor for Maidstone. She has 30 years’ experience in care, across elderly care, dementia care and mental health. She holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, is a Safeguarding Champion and keeps all her training up to date. She has lived in and around Maidstone for 46 years.
Our Maidstone roots
Maidstone and its villages have groups and get-togethers for older people and their families, but the days and times change from village to village. So instead of a list that goes out of date, Fiona and the team will help you and your family find what is on near you.
A team who know you
Our Maidstone clients are looked after by a small group of regular carers, led by Fiona, who has lived in and around Maidstone for 46 years. You will see familiar faces rather than a different person each week.
Before care starts, Rachael or Danielle will visit you and your family at home to set up the care and understand what matters to your loved one. The carers share what they notice with each other and with Fiona, so small things like a favourite drink or how someone is feeling that day are never lost, and any change is acted on quickly.
Out and about
Fiona can help you find local groups and clubs, or arrange regular trips out with a carer for a coffee or a walk. We don’t publish dates and times for groups here because they change from village to village, so it is something we help each family find in their own area.
