Peaceful nights, for everyone
Professional overnight care that keeps your loved one safe through the night, and gives the whole family the rest they need, including respite nights for family carers.

For many families, nights are the hardest part
Night care from All About Home Care puts a trained carer in the home overnight, either as a sleeping night or a waking night, across Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Maidstone.
The worry of leaving a loved one alone overnight. The exhaustion of being woken repeatedly. The fear of a fall, a confused episode, or a moment of distress with no one there.
Night care puts a trained carer in the home through the night, so that your loved one is safe and supported, and the family can sleep.
What’s the difference between a sleeping night and a waking night?
Sleeping nights
The carer sleeps in the home overnight and is available if needed. They have a designated sleeping area and are alert to any sounds or calls for help. This could suit someone living with dementia who is otherwise in good health and only occasionally wakes, disorientated or unable to get back to sleep. If more than minor assistance is needed, we arrange a waking night instead.
Waking nights
The carer stays awake and active throughout the night. This suits people with more complex needs: those who need regular repositioning, are at significant risk of falls, experience significant night-time confusion or distress, or need nursing-level monitoring.
Who is night care for?
Night care can suit
- People living with dementia who become confused, distressed or restless at night
- People at risk of falls or with continence needs during the night
- People recovering from illness, surgery or a hospital stay, or with Parkinson’s needs overnight
- Family carers who need to sleep, and people living alone
What overnight support includes
- Being present and available throughout the night
- Help with toilet visits, continence care and repositioning
- Reassurance after a confused or distressed episode, and medication support if needed
- Monitoring for health changes, with a handover to the day team or family in the morning
Many families combine night care with day care visits, for consistent, familiar support around the clock without the full commitment of live-in care.
Sleep is not a luxury
Many of the families who contact us about night care have been managing without sleep for weeks or months. Being a family carer is one of the most demanding things a person can do, and caring well for a loved one needs a carer who is rested and well. Night care can also work as respite care, giving you a proper break. If nights have become unmanageable, please call us. We can help.
