Celebrating our team’s achievements

At All About Home Care, we believe in investing in the training and development of our staff. Well-trained and motivated carers are essential to provide the highest quality care; the right training gives them confidence about the care they deliver so they can give our clients the best care possible.

We want to equip all our staff with tools that can help them offer great care to our clients, whatever they're facing and whatever stage of life they've reached. That's why we were the first homecare company to join Hospice in the Weald's Federated Scheme, which is aimed at sharing the Hospice's expertise with other care professionals in the local community.

As part of the scheme, Hospice in the Weald has become an assessment centre for the award of vocational qualifications that are nationally recognised. Some 50 care organisations have now signed up to the scheme. We are incredibly proud that our staff have successfully completed 26 courses in the past year, which makes up some 15% of the total number of courses completed by members. This is a great testament to the dedication of our team and the professionalism of the Hospice.

Rachael Fox, our registered care manager, has spoken about our commitment to our staff and their professional development: "An important part of this is supporting our staff to achieve nationally recognised vocational qualifications, which gives them the ability to provide the best quality care."

"I really appreciate the investment in my skills development"

"We are hugely fortunate to have such great training opportunities here at All About Home Care. The management want all staff to grow in our knowledge and expertise. The support from the Hospice team has been tremendous," said Barbara.

"I have found the Level 3 Diploma has consolidated my knowledge of the full breadth of health and care topics. I really appreciate the investment in my skills development, "said Lydell.

"I am really pleased to have completed the dementia certificate. It adds to the training we have already had and helps me feel so much more confident with supporting our clients living with various forms of dementia," said Liz.

It's great to see our staff using the skills they've acquired through training to further enhance the outstanding care they offer our clients and their families.
